I told some words about the workspace in SelfCAD in the introduction so I think you know more or less what it is. Workspace is the place where all magic happens. It is like a canvas for a painter. If the workspace is so important, customize it the way you want.

In Workspace settings, the first thing we see is the Show list. We can select there which elements of the workspace we want to see. If you uncheck the Lines, you won't see the grid lines. To see the changes after deselecting Colors, you need a workspace with any color. You will learn about plane colors in the next step. The Labels checkbox refers to these four captions around the workspace (Front, Left, Back and Right). Check measurements to see the position of the cursor.

The next two options, Workspace Size and Segment Size, are the same options as when creating a new project.

In this section, you can customize how the planes of your workspace display. By default, there is only bottom/top plane on the scene, but you can show also back/front and left/right planes, change their colors, change grids colors and even their opacity.

You already know the Rotation Cube. In workspace settings, you can only change its position from the left side of the editor to its right side.

In many 3D programs, you can meet different orientations of axes. By default, in SelfCAD Y-axis is the vertical one, but you can replace Y-axis with Z-axis in workspace settings.
