3D Cinema Glasses for a Toddler

img0059a.jpg

The problem:

I recently took my 3yr old child to see a 3D animation movie. It was her first time. She enjoyed it but found it hard to keep the eyeglasses on, has it kept falling off.

The solution:

A little hacking was in need, so as soon as we got home I got thinking on how to fix this. The solution I found was to get rid of part of the earpieces and replace them with velcro elasticated bands.

Apologies for the low quality of the pictures. Not very good camera on the phone. :(

Materials

- 3D Eyeglasses ("free" at the cinema)

Elasticated velcro bands (I bought a pair of cheap sun glasses on ebay and used the bands)

Duck tape (I used black)

Hand saw (or something similar to cut plastic)

Cut the Earpieces

Cut the earpieces with the hand saw leaving enough to attach the bands to.

Attach the Bands and You're Done!

Using the duck tape attach the elasticated velcro bands to the earpieces.
