3D Pen: Town on a Concrete Block

I'm quite sure there are many broken pieces of concrete and blocks near your house. I was thinking of a way to use those useless stones for decoration and creative work. I randomly watched a youtube video that built some architectural structure on a broken piece of concrete. I was inspired by that video and started decorating the stone, and building a town seemed to be the most fun thing for me. You don't have to exactly follow my ways, but these buildings should be easy to follow, though some practice may be required.

Supplies

All you need is: 3D pen, broken piece of stone or concrete, the filament in different colors

Building the Bottom Part of Eiffel Tower

When you look at the picture of the Eiffel tower, there are 3 big sections of it. You should first build the bottom part.

1. Draw a figure in the picture on your paper using a normal pen(not a 3D pen). or print the picture of the figure.

2. Then use the 3D pen to draw(? I'm not sure which verb I should use for the 3D pen) on the picture you drew already with a normal pen. Fill the surface of the figure by drawing lines so that they would look like the Eiffel tower in the picture. (Remember how the Eiffel tower looks like.) It looks the best when lines intersect and have many empty spaces.

3. Once you're done making one, tear it off the paper and draw another one. * You have to make 4 of the identical figures.

4. Finally, connect ! the 4 figures like the one in the picture that they are 3D, not 2D. When you connect the figures, it's really hard to make it perfect. Most of the time(especially if you're a beginner), not all four legs touch the floor. So, my tip is to get someone to hold the figures while you're connecting them.

!-If you don't understand what I mean with "connect" them, I just simply mean to glue or join them using the 3D pen.

* When you draw something on paper using a 3D pen, you can tear it off without tearing the paper attached. That is what makes a 3D pen unique from other things like a glue gun.

Build the Middle Part of the Eiffel Tower

It's the same principle with building the bottom part.

1. Draw a figure in the picture on your paper and use 3D to draw on the picture you drew already. You can just print this as well.

2. Fill the surface of the figure by drawing lines and tear it off. Make 4 of them total.

3. Finally, connect or join the 4 figures like the one in the picture and connect it to the bottom part.

Build the Top Part of the Eiffel Tower

Same drill. Draw 4 of the figures above and join or connect them.

For the top cover, you can't print it and draw on it. You have to build a pyramid shape for your top cover by yourself.

Making the House

1. Let's make the walls of the house first. Make two rectangles and fill them with wood base color using the 3D pen.

2. Making the roof is not different from making walls. Draw and fill two more rectangles that are longer than the ones used for the walls of the house.

3. Let's make the entrance part of the house. Draw two of this weird-looking pentagon.

4. Let's make the door. Draw 1 of the figure that looks like a semi-circle added with a square.

5. Join all those pieces in a shape of a house you know.

Making a Green Field

Making a green field is simple in words. You just simply fill the surface of the rock as in the picture. Keep in mind that this filling takes a lot longer than you think. It's different from normal coloring, and if you have a crappy 3D pen like me, it can even take 1 hour.

Making a River

KakaoTalk_20210703_103425616_01.jpg

The river is probably the simplest one to make in this town. Get one of the blue filaments and draw a river in the shape you want it to be. I recommend you to draw it in a curly shape. Use gray colors for outline and stones. Gray and blue go very well together, so I didn't add any more colors. However, you can still use green to describe moss and make it look more realistic.

You're Done!

You're done making the town! Place each building in a position you want it to be. You can use it to decorate or take a picture for your social media. Your stones would look all different, so every one of our towns would be unique. Please share it in the comment if you made it by following my guide. AND DON'T FORGET TO VOTE FOR ME IN THE CONCRETE CONTEST hehehe.
