3D Picture Book - Visual Impairments
This is a 3D printed version of "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle. It has a 3D layered bear alongside braille text. The page reads, "Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see? I see a red bird looking at me." This is designed for children with visual impairments, as it allows them to feel the art and text with their fingers.
Supplies
- Dremel 3D20 3D Printer
- 3D Printing Filament
- Glue (optional)
3D Print Bear
Use this .STL file to 3D print the bear design. This was created using the Scribble tool in Tinkercad. Each individual Scribble is layered to create the tactile component of the page. Additional pages can be created using this method.

3D Print Background and Braille
Use this .STL file to create the background page with the braille text. The braille text was created using a braille translator. The image was converted to a .SVG file, then copied into Tinkercad. The braille was then layered on top of the background. Once this was printed, the support material was removed to make the braille clear.

Attach Pieces
These pieces can be printed together by layering them in Tinkercad, or printed separately. If they are printed separately, they can be attached using glue.
