3D Printed Minecraft Creeper
Hi! My name is Olivia and I am 9, and I made this Instructable at my Makerspace Camp this summer.
Today I'm going to show and teach you how to make a 3D Minecraft Creeper on Tinkercad.com.
Once you log in to Tinkercad, hit the "create new document" button and name it something identifiable.
Make sure your bed is set to 1.0mm snap.
The Feet
Then drag a cube onto the screen make the dimensions 10mmx10mmx10mm. Then do it again for another cube set the cubes 10mm apart.
the Body
Create another cube with the dimensions 10mmDx14mmWx20mmH. Place this block directly in between the other two cubes. Note there will be overlap.
Then, using the cone shaped node, raise the new block 9mm. The corners of the body should now be the only parts overlapping with the legs.
Now, select the legs and body together, and group them together (press control + g).
The Head
13x13x13, raise 27mm and place on top of body. Make sure body and head overlap at least 1mm.
Align body/legs and head using the align button
The Eyes
Make one cube hole with the dimension 3x3x3 then make them go up to 36 millimeters then put them in the eye spot you want. Do not put it all the way in.
Hit the middle dot on the y-axis.
The Mouth
Then do copy and paste, and paste then hit the over button and put it in the spot you want. Drag to select the eyes and head. Bring a cube in make it a 3x3 and height by 3. Then copy and paste 2 times. Move the outer ones in and move the middle one up until you like it. Then group them.
Mouth
make 3 cubes with the dimension 3x3x3 make them holes put them together then put it where you think a mouth should be then then group.
Printing Using a FlashForge 3D Printer
This is how you 3D print using a FlashForge 3D printer.
First, plug a thumb drive into the computer.
Then export the object you want to print from Tinkercad as a .stl, NOT an .obj! This is very important.
In FlashPrint, open the file that you just downloaded (load a new file).
This file should not need to be scaled or supported, so you can simply go to printing. At the top of the page, select "print". A window will pop up with print setting: Disable the supports and raft, check the other settings, then click on "OK". Make sure the new file (.gx) is saving to your thumb drive.
Remove the thumb drive and insert it into the Flashforge 3D printer. Find the file, and press build. Find the file on
Enjoy!
