3D Printed RGB Night Lamps

In this tutorial, we make two types of night lamps.

1) Tabletop Night Lamp

2) Hanging Night Lamp

We need a 3D printer mainly for making any PLA plastic case using 3D design. You also need the following materials for making this:

1) PLA filament (White color)

2) Cable

3) Lamp holder

4) vintage filament Edison bulb

5) Glue Gun

6) Cutter

7) LED Strip with RGB Controller

8) Drill Machine

9) Cardboard cylinder

First of all, download the.stl file for the tabletop night lamp from this website. After downloading the.rar file, open the.stl file in the Ultimaker Cura software and save it to your memory card.

Connect the memory card to the 3D printer and begin printing the design. As shown in the image, you will find a 3D-printed PLA plastic case for a tabletop night lamp.

To make this night lamp colorful, we used an RGB LED strip.You can buy this online as per your requirements.

Now drill a hole for the 12-volt power supply pin to connect with the 12-volt adapter. Then, using the cutter, cut one cardboard cylinder to a length of 25 cm.Then, using a glue gun, adhere the LED strip to the cardboard cylinder.After the glue has cooled, insert a 12 volt pin through the plastic case hole.Also, centre the led strip cylinder in the hollow part of the night lamp case.

After that, connect the male pin of the 12-volt adapter to the female pin of the night light. 

Turn on the RGB Tabletop Night Lamp and enjoy it. You can change colour and brightness from the remote as you wish.

Download the Hanging Night Lamp.stl file from this website. After downloading, open the.rar file in Ultimaker Cura software and save the.stl file to your memory card.

Then, connect the memory card to the 3D printer and begin printing this design. As shown in the image, you will find a 3D-printed PLA plastic case for a hanging night lamp.

In this night lamp, we use a vintage filament Edison bulb, which gives off warm yellow light. First of all, pass the cable from the cap and connect the lamp holder as shown in the picture. Then connect the Edison bulb and test the lamp's operation. Remove the lamp and pass holder from the plastic case. Stick the bulb holder together using a glue gun and reconnect the vintage filament Edison bulb.

Turn on the Hanging Night Lamp and enjoy it.
