3D Printed UV Blacklight

Hi. Welcome to my new instructable :-)

As i collect "Uraniumglass" i occasionally need a handheld

source of UV light to find it at antique shops,

So i decided to build this to do the job.

I hope that someone else can use this design.

I have not calculated the cost for this project,

but it should be cheaper and more fun than just buying one :D

Also, you can use LEDs in any color that suits your needs :-)

So if you are building it, have fun doing it ;D


What You Will Need

If you don't have a 3D Printer and don't know anyone who have one,

Parts list:

(1) 1x blue and red common anode 3mm LED.

(2) 1x LiPo charge module with overdischarge protection.

(3) 1x 18650 LiPo battery with solder tabs.

(4) 24x 5mm UV strawhat LEDs.

(5) 6x 47 Ohm resistors.

(6) Some heatshrink tubing.

(7) Some wire.

(8) 1x 10x15mm switch.

(1) soldering iron with solder wire.

(2) glue gun with glue sticks.

(3) Pliers.

(4) Wire stripper.

(5) Wire cutter.

(6) scissors.

(7) lighter for the heatshrink tubing.

(8) Button cell battery to test the LEDs.
