A Deadpool Mask...

DP1.jpg

I created a Deadpool mask as a fun DIY project to bring the iconic character to life. Using materials like [e.g., papier-mache, paint, etc.], I focused on capturing the bold red and black color scheme and expressive design that makes Deadpool recognizable. This project allowed me to explore [e.g., painting, sculpting]. It was a rewarding challenge, and I'm thrilled with the final result

Supplies

  1. Paper mache
  2. Clay tools
  3. Primer
  4. Paint Set

Making a Base

  1. So We start by making a paper base for our mask,Which is basically crumbled paper in the shape of a face about which we are going to make a mask.
  2. After this we tape it to our workbench and place a perforated paper on it to avoid the clay from sticking with the base.

Making Clay Model

  1. Here we make flat clay which is big enough to cover the Paper Base and thick enough for it to not break in the upcoming steps.
  2. We carefully place this on the paper base and make sure the clay distribution is uniform.
  3. Now we draw a prototype of how deadpool looks on the clay using the clay tools.
  4. Based on this we make thin round clay to place on the dedicated places(Where we drew lines on the mask(pic1..).
  5. Make sure the joints of clay are smooth,if not use more clay, clay tool, water to smoothen it out.
  6. Draw the eye part of Deadpool.
  7. Remove the clay part at the eye part, and cover the eye void with thin round clay which is thinner that the surrounding ones to give more depth.
  8. After all this let the clay model dry out.
  9. Then paint the mask with primer so that we can paint on the mask.

Painting

  1. Now based on our preference or what we decide to make(here deadpool mask) paint accordingly using the paint set.
  2. Make sure there are no white spots due to lack of paint, for this mask atleast we have to use alot of paint or make sure the paint layer is think enough so that we cant see the primer evidently :)
  3. After this make a mask stand,so that u can display what ever u made and thats all...
