A Guide to Installing an Aftermarket Seat

Aftermarket seat

Today I will be showing you how to install and aftermarket seat!

Removing Front Slider Bolts

Start by sliding the seat all the way back so that the bolts in the sliding rails are exposed. Use the ΒΌ inch drive ratchet and torques bit to take out these bolts. I would suggest using a container to keep track of all of these bolts because we will be reusing them on the new seat.

Removing Rear Slider Bolts

Slide the seat all the way forward and take out the torques bolts holding down the sliders in the rear. Take out these bolts and put them in your container.

Removing Seat From the Car

Now that the seat is no longer fastened to the car its time to take of the seatbelt and seat belt clip from the seat. There will be a plastic cover on the door side of the seat that you will need to remove in order to access the bolt attaching the seatbelt to the seat. Once that is removed use the ratchet and the torques bit to take off the bolt, throw this bolt into the container. Now on the opposite side use the ratchet and the torques bit to take off the seat belt clip. Now remove the seat from the car.

Attaching Accessories to New Seat

With the new seat attach the seat, (optional) sliders and bracket together using the 8mm Allen bolts provided with the bracket. Now attach the seatbelt clip to the trans tunnel side of your seat using the correct bolt from your container.

Attaching the Seatbelt

Once that is completed put your new seat into your car, be careful and try not to bang up your interior. Next attach your seatbelt to your seat bracket. I would recommend if you have a fixed back seat to slide it through the seatbelt hole so that it hugs your body, however this is preference.
