A Small End Seat for a Small Sofa I Made in Tinkercad V.s. a Big One

this is a small end seat for a small sofa that is easy to make in tinkercad out one basic shape. it's really easy to make too. Also these steps might be a little hard to under stand but if this is out you can always comment and ask questions and i will get back to you as soon as possible.

the same steps apply for the big end seat for the big sofa.

i put the whole end seat and not the steps because i didn't think of it at the time so these steps should help you

• 2 boxes that are red ( you'll see it on the right of your screen in the task bar and it will saw red cube or solid cube)
• a computer to go onto the website or any devices is fine
• and a tinkercad account (free)

since there's only two shapes you really need it's not going to be that hard to make.

the first thing you want to do is locate were the shapes are if you are new to tinkercad. the shapes will be to the right of you screen in the task bar, there you will find all shorts of thinks that you can check out while or after you make or made this.

just admire what you've done so far.

now you know where the shapes are now you have to get ready to make it.

first what you want to do is click and drag the red cube to the workspace, then what you want to do is make it a leg for the seat which you can do by clicking the shape and then you want to click, hold and drag the middle dot on the left and drag that to make to how thin or thick you want it to be. If you want this part is optional you can change the color of the shape by clicking on the shape and you will see something the says multicolor or see through click on multicolor and you can choose what ever color you want. AND THERE YOU GO YOU HAVE ONE LEG DOWN NOW ONLY THREE MORE TO GO!!!

now that you have your first leg on the workspace you can either do one of two things, you can do what you did with the first leg which would be clicking and dragging the shape to the workspace and making it roughly or about the same size as the leg or you can copy and past it, there are two ways of copying and pasting things in tinkercad. the first one is holding control and c which will copy it and to past it hold control and v and that will past it onto the workspace and it will past where ever you click on the workspace or you can do it the lazy way or as i like to call it the boring and less efficient way which is clicking on the shape and on the top left hand corner of your screen you will see an icon with multiple shapes on top of on another and if you hover over it with you mouse the will say copy and it will also tell you how to copy it and for pasting it you will see a clipboard on the top left hand corner of your screen and again if you hover over it, it will say past and it will show you how to past it, you will have to make three more of the legs and like i said in the previous step you can change the color of it or you can keep it the same. And i suggest that you align then by clicking the shape and dragging it to one of the squares that is across from the first leg you did and it might not be the way you like it but that's ok.

now that you have your legs where you want them on the workspace now what you want to do group then. Leave them where they are and right click on your mouse and drag it so it fits all four of your legs and at the top right hand corner of your screen to the right of the lightbulb is the group button click on it and your legs will be grouped together and if you want to undo it either hit the undo button or do the same thing that you did when you grouped the legs but instead of hitting group to the right of the group button is the ungroup button click on that and your legs will be ungrouped , and make sure that all four legs are highlighted or you can't group or ungroup them and if you hover both they will show you how to group and ungroup something. Now that you have and know how to group and ungroup your legs, now it's time to go onto the next step which is the seat part of the seat i guess you can call it.

now that you know how to group and ungroup your legs or anything now it's time to get the the seat part.

the first thing you want to is find the solid red cube and click and drag it to the workspace, then what you want to do is make it a little bit bigger thane the legs so it looks like a real end seat to a sofa. make it the size you want but not too big or it won't look good but what ever floats your boat is fine with me. Just like with the legs you can change the color of it. OH AND BEFORE I FORGET AND IT DOSEN'T TURN OUT THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO LOOK YOU NEED TO LOWER IT SO IT CONECTS WITH THE LEGS TO MAKE IT LOOK REAL, AND TO DO THAT YOU JUST CLICK ON THE SHAPE AND YOU WILL SEE THIS TRIANGLE DOME LOOKING THING CLICK AND DRAG YOUR MOUSE DOWN JUST FAR ENOUGH TO WHERE IT LOOKS GOOD AND REAL AND SO THAT IT'S NOT ON OR UNDER THE WORKSPACE. <------------ i put this in all caps because this is an important step in making the end seat to the small or big sofa.

now that you are almost done with the big or small end seat to the sofa now what you need to do is group every thing together which is easy it's just like the legs but now you have a seat to group it with if you forget how go to on of the last steps and it will tell you how or stay on this step because I'm going to tell you how to group again anyway.

Leave them where they are and right click on your mouse and drag it so it fits all four of your legs and the seat and at the top right hand corner of your screen to the right of the lightbulb is the group button click on it and your legs will be grouped together and if you want to undo it either hit the undo button or do the same thing that you did when you grouped the legs but instead of hitting group to the right of the group button is the ungroup button click on that and your legs will be ungrouped, same thing with the seat and the legs , and make sure that all four legs are highlighted or you can't group or ungroup them and if you hover both they will show you how to group and ungroup something.

AND one last thing when you group everything it will change the seat to the color of the legs and that's ok because you can fix it by clicking on the grouped shape and a box will drop down and it will say multicolor and see through click on multicolor and at the bottom of it you'll see something that says multicolor click on it and it will change the color of the seat back to it's original color.

now that you have your seat done now it's time to send it to your or a 3D printer, you can do that by clicking the export button and slick what your 3D printer file is if you don't know what it is ask your parents and if they don't know call text support or the company and if that doesn't help then I'm sorry i don't know much about 3D printers
