A Sweet Costume Idea

This costume will work for any kind of candy. It is simple, fun and inexpensive.

Find Your Candy Bag

We used that plastic/canvas mailbag we found. Paint the bag the color of the candy. For our example, we used Reese's Pieces.

A Candy Crown

While the paint is drying, you can begin the candy headband. We took a regular wide headband. Make a pool of craft glue. Use tweezers to take candy (Reese's Pieces, M&Ms or lifesavers would all work well.) to dip in the glue. Then place on the headband in a row 2 pieces wide. When the first row is done, inject more glue in between the candies to make secure. Allow this to dry. If you choose you may add another single row on top of the two-wide row of candy. Add more glue to fill in the crevises. Allow to dry at least overnight.

Preparing the Bag

We simply did an image search via Google. We found the candy we were looking for. In this case we adapted the name to fit our daughter's name. "Cherice's Pieces."

Make It Wearable

Cut out neck and arm spaces. Wear clothing to suit your climate underneath. We did the whole costume for under $20 including paint, bag, candy and glue.
