About the project.
ARMAROS is a smart social distancing Cap
(reacts when people get too close)
A face shield cap which automatically moves its sun visor to transform it to a face shield covering the face to protect the users by social distancing sensor.
As the visor is made from a photochromic material, which is sensitive to light, it darkens in response to direct sunlight.
This face Shield as an eye-catching headpiece is both stylish and protective.
We believe that, this version could be a more attractive option of personal protective equipment (PPE) for
non-medical users.
More details.
We designed a social distancing cap, which is a piece
of personal protective equipment (PPE), capable of being a face shield too, at the same time. It comes with wonderful features: It has a PIR sensor which identifies the infrared radiations emanating from the temperature of those passing by, so it’s sensitive about social distancing around wearer and if someone is coming too close more than 1.5 m. When the Social distancing sensor is working and understands that the user is in danger in terms of distancing, it automatically closes the visor on user’s face like a face shield to protect him. It’s also optional to have the face-shield on automatic or manual settings.

3D Modeling and Body Printing
Files ready for 3D printing and Laser cutting.
We provide the files for you. You can send them to the online service closest to your home.
Note: Material selection: Select the white TPU shore 95a.
1. For the 3D printer download the 3D files and print them.
Painting the 3D Printed Parts
After printing the whole 3D parts you should paint them by MTN 94 Spray with 2 different grey colors Darker one for BASE, COVER, CROWNS, BLADES, and the lighter one for ORIGAMI parts.
OR you can choice any other colors which you prefer.
Laser Cutting
We provide the laser cutting file for you.
You can download the files and send them to the online service closest to your home with the Polycarbonate sheet with 0.03'' thickness as a material.
Making the Circuit
We provide the video from the circuit. Therefore you can watch and better
understand about this circuit.
1. Connect the Seeeduino Xiao board to the Grove shield with Header pins.
2. Connect the 2 Servo motors with Grove - Branch Cable for Servo to the Grove shield board.
3. Connect the PIR sensor to the Grove shield board.
4. Connect one of the Touch button ( Automatic/Manual button) to the Grove shield board.
5. Connect one of the Touch button ( Transition button) to the Grove shield board.
7. Connect the Lithium Ion Polymer Battery 3.7V to the Grove shield.
8. Connect the On/Off switch to the Xiao board and Battery.
Note about step 8: The Xiao board and its expansion shield provide only 3.3v output current. Considering the fact that the output of PIR sensor is more trustable while powered up with higher voltage and also the servo motors act more robustly with higher voltage powers, we decided to feed them directly from the battery before the voltage is scaled down in the board.
Arduino Sketch
1. You can download our Arduino Sketch here.
2. Connect Seeeduino xiao to your computer’s USB port.
Note:
Before the uploading please check all the electronic components with connections to be sure about everything.

Assembling the Circuit in the Cap (cover Part)
Place the components as in the picture here.
Note:
You can find a illustrator file for button’s icons.
You can print them on a transparent sticker for your buttons.
Please stick them on the buttons in the cover part
just before the final assembling.

Assembling the Cap. Let's Put All Together
Steps which you take for assembling:
1. Attach the BASE and COVER by their snaps and holes.
2. Attach the BLADES to first CROWN by glue.
3.1. Attach the shield to the first crown using glue.
3.2. Attach the first CROWN to the first ORIGAMI.
3.3. Attach the remaining CROWNS and their relevant ORIGAMIS according to step 3.2.
4. Now attach the composition of the CROWNS and
ORIGAMIS to the BASE by snaps and holes on them.
