Content of the Box
The box contained: tutorials, postacard canvases, canvas sheets, acrylic paints, sharpener, plastic palette, watercolor pencils and brushes.
Paint Swatches
In this picture you can notice the transparency and brightness of colours (In this test I used watercolor paper).
On the top there are acrylic paint, while on the bottom you can see watercolor pencils.
I especially liked Phthalo blue for acrylics, and violet for watercolor pencils.
Test on Canvas!
For this painting I used canvas sheets I found in the box.
I used water to dilute acrylic paints as they were watercolors.
After the first layer dried, I continued layering with more opaque colors.
To increase opacity, I reduced the amount of water and mixed colors with white paint.
Details
Once paint dried, I used white paint to draw water reflections on hair.
Watercolor Pencils
Once painting was finished and completely dried, I used watercolor pencils to define eyes and shadows.
I watercolored them on top of the acrylic paint.
Again, once watercolor pencils dried, I used the finer brush in the box to add reflections on eyes and in the rest of the portrait. For this step I used white acrylic paint directly from the tube.
Result + Other Examples
In these final photos you can see the resulting drawing and other tests I made with acrylics and watercolor pencils :)
I hope you enjoy those paintings!
