Today, I'm going to show you how you can create unique artwork that is perfect for any home, or even as a gift.
Many people love this abstract art in their homes.
Supplies
Canvas
Disposable gloves
Acrylic Paint
Craft Sticks (Or anything to mix with)
Water
Silicone-Based Lubricant
Heat Gun (Optional)
Trash Bags to protect work area
Disposable cups.
Prime Canvas
First, prime canvas with white paint, making sure to allow the coat of white paint to be completely dry. This will be important to give you a smooth surface for painting.
Add Paint to Cups
Next, depending on canvas size, pour acrylic paint into a disposable cup, one color per cup. You can use as much of each color or as little of each color as you want.
Add Water
After that, add water to the paint little by little, mixing in between adding water until you reach a consistency where the paint falls off the stick in a stream. Repeat for each color, using a new stick for each color.
Add Silicone
Then, take your silicone and add it to the colors you would like to add it to, making sure to completely mix in the silicone. This may take a while. The silicone will repel the water/ paint mixture of the colors you dont add it to, creating “cells” that allow the bottom colors to show through.
Pour Silicone Colors
Once all of your colors are mixed, pour the colors with silicone onto your canvas in any way you wish, making sure to cover the whole canvas . Remember, this is your project, do what looks good to you.
Pour Colors Without Silicone
Take the Colors without silicone and pour it over the canvas. Take the paper towel and gently swipe the edge over the canvas, careful to not wipe the paint off. s
Optional: Heat Gun
(Optional) Using the heat gun, turning it on high, holding it 3-4 inches above your canvas, allowing the cells to come up.
Leave to Dry
Once you are satisfied, leave the canvas to dry and clean up your area, throwing away any garbage and washing your hands.
