In this Instructable I'm going to show you how to make a Glossy Style using Adobe Photoshop CS3. Like I've said before, this is possible with nearly every version of Photoshop, however the process may differ slightly.

First pick a Font and type it in, I'm using a 485 x 500 pixel layout, and my text is at 150 points, so the style is going to be fairly large.

Once you double click your layer you want to add a style to, the Layer Style menu will pop up. There are a total of 12 Settings you can change, to achieve our Glossy look we only need to change TWO, which is Drop Shadow, and Bevel and Emboss.

Drop Shadow does exactally what it says, it drops a shadow at an angel underneath the object. Default settings work fine for this Instructable.

Applying Bevel and Emboss

Now to add the main setting which is Bevel and Emboss. This will create the glossy reflective look that our goal is to get.

Finished!
