Alternative Ways to Tie Your Shoes

Fastest way to tie your shoes in the typical bow pattern. Blow the loop it, swoop it, and pull method out of the water at your next time trials.

Just like when normally tying your shoes, you cross the laces and pull one side through to start the initial knot.

Make your hands into the shape of a gun, thumb raised and your index finger extended for those of you who didn't have a childhood, while still holding the laces with your remaining fingers of each hand. Wrap your thumb over the top of the right lace and your left index finger under the left lace. Follow suite with your right index finger and left thumb creating what resembles a "Z" (as shown in picture 3) with the laces.

Pinch the section between your left thumb and index finger using your right hand and vice versa with your left hand simultaneously. While holding the pinch, simply pull your hands apart and your shoe is tied. With practice, you can tie you shoe fairly quickly. See the video on the nest step
