Altoids Halloween Office Decoration

Here is a desk top decoration that will get you in the spirit of  Halloween.  They are quick and easy to make and do not require a lot of supplies.  These would make unique Halloween party favors. I used some pumpkin straws but regular colored straws work nicely.  The kids would enjoy making these for their friends.  

Supplies

Here is the list:
  • Plastic straws
  • Magnet strip
  • Halloween stickers
  • Black paper
  • Tape 
  • Scissors
  • Empty Altoids container
  • Finger LED lights
  • Pen

Getting Started

Instructions:
  • Trace the lid of the Altoids can on the black paper.
  • Cut out the shape.
  • Tape the shape to the lid of the can.
  • Decorate the top with several stickers.

The Magnet

Attaching the magnet:
  • Cut a small piece of the magnet to tape to the LED light.
  • Tape the magnet piece to the LED light as shown.  

Please note:  You want to tape it to the flat edge where there is no switch.

The Straws

Instructions for the straws:
  • Mark the length of the Altoids can on the straws.
  • Cut them slightly shorter than your mark.

Attaching the Straws to the LED Lights

Instructions:
  • Test the lights to make sure they work.
  • Tape the straws to the LED lights as shown.
  • You may make them shorter if you like.
  • Turn them on and stick them to the can.

Placing the Lights in the Altoids Can

Instructions:
  • The straws go into the Altoids can.
  • The LED lights are stuck to the top of the Altoids can for storing when not in use.

Led lights are so great!  They seem to last forever.  I love to use them for a lot of my crafts. These turned out so nice. I like quick and easy projects like these.  It makes it fun and is easy enough to do with the kids.
