Making a Newton's Cradle out of cardboard is a fun and educational project. Here's a step-by-step guide to making a working model using cardboard, marbles, and a few other common materials.

Supplies

  1. Cardboard
  2. Marble ball
  3. Bamboo sticks
  4. Glue
  5. Cloth yarn

Cardboard Cutting

Base: Cut a rectangular piece of cardboard for the base. Approximately 12x10 cm.

Frame: For the frame, cut two vertical pieces of cardboard about 25 cm long and about 5 cm wide.

Make the Frame

Glue the base pieces (the two side panels) to the base, making sure they are upright and evenly spaced.

Then connect the two ends with two bus sticks.

Prepare the Balls

Select 5 small balls of the same size. Then attach them to the marbles with fabric thread and glue.

Attach the Strings to the Frame

Attach 5 marbles at a distance of 2 cm. The balls should hang parallel to each other, and all the balls should be approximately the same length.
