Glossary: MR
- To create a magic ring in starting color by wrapping a piece of yarn around four fingers, crossing over a second time creating an "X" on the underside of your hand. On the top side weave you crochet hook under and over the yarn grabbing the second piece, pulling through and grabbing a new piece of yarn near your ring finger and pinkie.
- To single crochet into a magic ring you must single crochet normally while keeping the tail bit in line with the "ring".
- To close a magic ring you pull on the excess tail, creating a closed ring.
Glossary: SC
Single crochet is a basic crochet stitch that is made by:
Step 1: Insert the hook into the next stitch, yarn over, and pull through, making a loop. There should be 2 loops on the hook.
Step 2: Then, yarn over again and pull through both of the loops on the hook. There should only be a single loop on the hook.
Glossary: INC
An increase is a single crochet into the same stitch twice, giving you two stitches.
Glossary: DEC
A decrease is a single crochet through two stitches, giving you one stitch.
Glossary: CC
A color change is when you go into your next stitch and pull through your new color in order to crochet with said color. The old color is kept on the inside of the bee.
For the second color change, use the yarn that we tucked inside the bee from the first change in order to change back to that color. Be sure to cut the color string we are no longer using and tuck it inside the bee.
Glossary: SLST
A slip stitch is going through a stitch as if you were to single crochet but instead of grabbing new yarn, you pull through your existing stitch.
