I started with an old flower's girl dress and folded it in half and hand stitched it in place. I decorated the bodice with fabric glitter glue with red Christmas flowers. I hot glued some feathers to the top of the shoulders. On the back I added snaps to the dress and wings so they are easily attached. Around the bottom I hand stitched a battery operated thin rope light in white to give it a scalloped look. For the tree I purchase a regular skirt and added suspenders. I took apart a wire wreath frame and hand stitched them to the inside of the skirt starting with the largest ring at the bottom and smallest on top to give the tree top appearance. I used pine tree garland and hot glued it to the skirt. I added two sets of battery operated lights, red bows, jingle bells and silver bows. I purchased brown tights and brown boots for the "trunk". I purchased the halo and the wings online. I made then entire costume in about 3 hours for under $30.
