General knowledge
Living Room
The living room contains a chair, couch, and TV. The chair and the couch have been made from single shapes by selecting different faces and moving them accordingly. The TV was made from separate parts in order to change colors easier.
Dining Room
The dining room table was made from 2 parts, and the chairs were made from one. The chairs were created by selecting different faces and moving them, as well as the extrude tool. The plates were made from spheres, caving in the top half to give it sort of a plate/bowl look.
Kitchen
Most of the kitchen utilities/counters are made from simple geometry (squares/rectangles) and utilize the extrude tool for handles, burners, etc.
Bedroom
The bed is made from one shape and uses the extrude feature. The majority of the dresser is made from one object with the exception of the handles. The handles are ring shaped.
Bathroom
Most of the things in the bathroom use simple geometry with the exception of the shower curtain. It uses an extruded curve to give the curtain less of a solid feel. It also make it appear that it is sort of hanging from the rod.
Closet
The closet uses 2 rectangles for the top shelf and 2 cylinders for the hanging rods. The rods are similar to the faucet in the bathroom, the pipe for the shower head, and the handles.
Tip for Doors/windows
Blender has a modification called "boolean". If you have a wall and a shape that you want to go through that wall, use the boolean modifier on the wall and select the shape. Make sure the shape is intersecting the wall. For instance, by using the boolean modifier on the entrance wall and selecting the door, and opening is created.
