As you've probably heard, Mitt and Ann Romney had some hard times in their basement apartment while attending college.  To quote Ann Romney, “We walked to class together, shared the housekeeping and ate a lot of pasta and tuna fish*.”

If she had known a little more about what it's like to be poor in current times, she would have probably specified Ramen noodles, instead of pasta. 

This inspired me to create this amazing college student dish which I call "Ann Rameny!"




* "tuna fish" is a silly thing to say when you think about it.  You wouldn't say, "pass me the turkey bird."

What You Need:

As you probably know, you don't need much to make Ramen noodles.  You pretty much add a can of tuna and a can opener and you got it.  You may want to splurge and have this meal prepared by your personal chef, so you don't have to get that tuna smell on your hands.  Anyway, here's the basics of what you need.

-Ramen noodles (shrimp, oriental*, or chicken, all seem to go well with tuna)

-1 5oz. can of tuna

-1 microwave safe bowl or sauce pan

-A microwave or stove

-A can opener

-A little bit of canned or frozen peas, or other green vegetable (recommended)

-Water




*yes the package actually says oriental

Follow the Instructions on the Ramen Package:

There are a few different brands of Ramen out there, so directions on each may vary.  Choose your cooking method and follow the directions on the package.

Spice It Up

Drain liquid from noodles until you have only the amount you desire.

Add spice packet to taste.

Open tuna with can opener and drain the juice from tuna.

Discard tuna juice, or give it to your pet.

Add tuna and whatever else you desire.

MIx it all up and enjoy.
