Ingredients and Tools

Three simple ingredients

Apples ~ I like to use Fuji or Macintosh because they are firmer inside and have a lot of flavor but any type of apple can be used

Peanut Butter ~ Creamy is the best

Marshmallows ~ I use the mini marshmallows

Tools for preparation

Cutting board

Apple corer

Sharp knife

Butter knife

Plate for serving

Preparing Your Apples

Place your apple on the cutting board and using the apple corer, cut the apple into 8 pieces

All of the seeds and seed casings should be removed once cored but you can use your sharp knife to trim any away if needed

Using your sharp knife cut each of those eight pieces in half, making 16 pieces total

Spreading the Peanut Butter

Using your butter knife scoop about a 1/2 a teaspoon of peanut butter and spread across one slice of apple. Then set aside

Repeat with one more slice

Adding the Marshmallows

Place about 4-6 (depending on the size of the apple slices) mini marshmallows on top of one slice of apple with the peanut butter, close to the outside edge

Turn the other slice with peanut butter over on top of that slice

Viola! You now have an apple smile!

Repeat with remaining apple slices and you'll have eight peanut butter apple smiles to enjoy!
