Apple Pencil Wrap or Apple Pencil Skin

I wanted to make a custom Wrap/Skin for my Apple Pencil. I had a hard time finding a template so I made one to share.

Make a Template

Using Microsoft Word or Power Point make a square that is 5 3/8" x 1 1/4" for the barrel of the pencil and one that is 1 1/4" x 3/8" for the pencil cap. Color or decorate your squares in any way you like. You can insert pictures, textures or words.

Print Onto Shipping Labels

Make 2 copies of your pencil skin in case you make a mistake. Print your design onto weather proof shipping labels. I like these labels because they're durable, smudge proof and show bright colors.

Cut out the design and carefully add clear shipping tape to the front. Make sure that there are no air bubbles.

Trimming Things Up

Once you've got the tape on the front of the wrap, trim the short ends so that no tape hangs over the edge. Trip the long side so that 1/4" of tape is left at the edge.

Install the Wrap

Thoroughly clean the pencil with a microfiber cloth. Remove the back from the wrap.

Carefully line up the edge of the wrap with the metal edge of the pencil. Slide your finger down the wrap to secure it in place.

Carefully roll the wrap onto the pencil.

Done!

That's it! You're all done.
