Appliqué Inkodye Jacket

17.jpg
Want to be able to print any item in your closet with Inkodye? When it comes to dark fabrics or detailed designs, sometimes a little creative thinking is required.

For this project, we printed custom Inkodye fabric panels and sewed them onto a jacket to create a precise, high contrast design. The final product is both professional and one-of-a-kind.

It’s time to use Inkodye to bring your design to life. If you have questions about the Lumi process, our guide to Printing Photos On Cotton with Inkodye will walk you through the steps.

Wash

After printing the rest of your panels, use Inkowash to rinse out any undeveloped dye.

Make Pattern

9.jpg
Use thick paper, a pencil, and scissors to shape a pattern for each fabric panel. Make sure the panels are roughly half an inch bigger than needed in each direction.

Cut

10.jpg
Trace each pattern onto the printed fabric. Carefully cut out all the panels. We’re getting close!

Fold

Fold over all of the panel edges until the panel is the exact size and shape needed. Finally, iron the edges so they stay in place.
