Arduino Potentiometer+RGB LED Van Gogh Escape Room Light Show

In this escape room, I take famous artist Vincent Van Gogh's iconic color scheme and let those colors shine with an RGB LED.

Supplies

1 Arduino

1 breadboard

1 potentiometer

1 RGB LED

1 Resister

10 Jumper Cables

Setting Up the Code

  • The code you will be putting in will control the RGB LED and the potentiometer
  • Once the simulation is started the potentiometer will be able to be turned
  • Turning all the way to the left will make the RGB LED shine yellow
  • Turning all the way to the right will turn the RGB LED shine blue

Setting Up the Hardware

RGB LED
  • Place the RBG LED on e4-e7

  • Place a resister on b5 and a negative line on your breadboard

  • Red jumper cable from 12 to b4

  • Blue jumper cable from 13 to b6
  • Green jumper cable from -11 to b7

Potentiometer

  • Place potentiometer on e16 to e18
  • Black jumper c16 to the negative line on the breadboard
  • Green jumper cable from c17 to A0 on the Arduino
  • Red jumper c16 to the positive line on the breadboard

  • Connect a red jumper cable from 5V to the positive line on the right side of the breadboard
  • Connect a black jumper cable from the GRD to the negative line on the right side of the breadboard
  • Connect the left and right sides of the breadboard by placing a red jumper on the left positive line to the right positive line
  • Do the same with the negative but on the negative lines on the breadboard
