Automatic School Desk Cleaner - Arduino final project

Sometimes I feel really annoyed when I see there is lots of garbage on the school desk. This condition is because the previous student forgot to clean the table. Therefore, I came out with an idea that what if I make a machine that can clean the school desk automatically when every student leaves? And this is what the Automatic School Desk Cleaner came from. With this machine, it will start cleaning the table when a student leaves the desk and takes away his or her things. And it will stop cleaning will the next student comes and place his or her things beside the machine. The Automatic School Desk Cleaner is basically using the principles of the stepper motor and supersonic sensor.

Step 1: Prepare All the Materials

1. Arduino UNO

2. PCB

3. Styrofoam (glue)

4. Scissors

5. Box cutter

6. Wooden sticks *2

7. Pencil

8. Ruler

9. Eraser

10. Small broom

11. Stepper motor

12. Supersonic sensor

13. Tape

14. USB cable

15. male-male cable *8

1. Glue the two wooden sticks on the brush of the small broom by using styrofoam

2. Make sure the distance between the two sticks is fit to the stepper motor

3. Cut down the brush from the small broom

4. Glue the two wooden sticks on the brush tighter

5. Arrange the brush

6. Wait for the glue to dry

7. Use tape to tape the hand-made brush on the stepper motor

Step 4: Circuit Creating

1. Find a box which is fit to the size of the PCB

2. Cut the holes for stepper motor and supersonic sensor to stay outside the box

Step 6: Finish!
