Avo-Smash

The avo-smash is a classic brekky in Australia. You only need a few ingredients, and it will be ready in less than five minutes. It's simple, delicious, and healthy -- it is bound to become a favorite!

Toast

Put a piece of toast in the toaster. Toast as desired (preferably slightly browned).
Prepare Avocado


Place toast on a plate. Cut a ripe avocado in half, then cut the side without the seed in half again.
Mash Avocado


Remove the skin, then mash the avocado, using a fork.
Flavor


Add salt and lemon juice to the smashed avocado, as desired.
Finishing Touch

Spread smashed avocado onto the toast. Add any extras that you would like, such as red pepper flakes, goat cheese, or a fried egg.
