The inspiration for the project was after having blended an avocado and noticing it is very similar to butter in texture.

Flavor:  It tastes like chocolate and no one will notice it has avocado in it, unless you let them know.  You can probably trick kids who don't like avocado to eat it too.

This is an easy, simple and surprisingly delightful snack.

1 large avocado
3 tbs cocoa powder
4 tbs of confectioners sugar preferably or sweetener of choice
2 tbs of coconut oil  or 2 tbs of almond milk
oil creates a better mixture for dipping and milk creates a better pudding like mixture.

Note:  Use ripe avocados.  Ripe avocados are creamy in texture, when squeezed gently will feel soft, but not smushy and hollow, and also have the freshest taste.  If still unsure, taste it.  It should not be bitter.

Cut the avocado: Here's a Video I made for this occasion

Mix Everything Together

You can use a bowl and hand mixer of food processor.

Start, by mixing the avocado smooth.

Mix in the Remaining Ingredients

  1. Add the dry ingredients in
  2. Heat the coconut oil in the microwave for 30 seconds to change it from solid to liquid and mix it in.

Blend/mix the mixture until evenly smooth.

You will have to scrape unmixed ingredients and scoop them into the center to blend everything in.

The chocolate can be used to dip strawberries, and hardens well when refrigerated.

Lastly I just dipped strawberries in it and arranged them on a plate.
