B1XZ Assembly

This instruction is for the B1XZ mode for Biqu B1 3d printer.

Prepare all tools and print all parts

Instruction vesion: V3 alfa (10.Apr.2021)

Partial Disassembly B1

  • Power off printer
  • Disconnect all cables
  • Unmount printhead
  • Unmount X granty
  • Unmount Z portal and remove Z carriages
  • If reusing wheels then disassembly v-wheels from Z carriages
  • Unmount motors and prepare to reuse

Assembling Z Carriage (part1) (left)

Put M5x40 [1a] bolt into [item 1]. Use this order to connect [item 1] (B1XZ_z_carriage_x_rail_cover), the 10mm washer [item 2], nylon washer, 2x F695-2RS bearings, nylon washer

Put second M5x65mm [2a] bolt into using order: [item 1], the nylon washer,2x F695-2RS bearings, nylon washer, 10mm washer [item 3]

Use M4x40 [3a] to connect [item 1] and [item 4] (bolt must pass thought [item 4])

Use M4x35 [4a] to connect [item 1] and [item 5] (bolt must pass thought [item 5])

Put on top [item 6] screw bolt [4a] directly into [item 6], other bolts must just pass thought.

Assembling Z Carriage (part2) 3rd Wheel Holder

Install 3rd wheel into B1XZ_z_carriage_main_3rdwheel_mnt_right.stl

(use order M5x30(M5x35) bolt, washer, nylon lock nut, and wheel)

  • Pre insert bolt from the flat side
  • Put washer inside
  • Put the wheel on top of the washer
  • Put nylon lock nut on top of the wheel (use one more washer optional)
  • Holding nut by open-end wrench from inside tighten/move the bolt all way to outside
  • Check and tighten the nut to avoid wobbling the wheel but do not over tighten it wheel must rotate freely
  • If using M5x35 put a nut on the outsize end of the bolt

Assembling Z Carriage (part3) Internal Blocks

  • Put [item 3] on the previously assembled part using bolt [1a] to screw it into the plastic. Bolt [1b] must just pass thought
  • Push bolt [1b] and tighten with a nut with a nylon lock nut on top.
  • Put [item 2] and screw by bolts (if using short m3 bolts [2a]/[2b] into the plastic or push [2a] way if using long m3)
  • Put [item 3] and screw by bolts (if using short m3 bolts [3a]/[3b] into the plastic or push [3a] way if using long m3)

Assembling Z Carriage (part4) Put Side Wheels

  • Put side wheel on M5x40 (or M5x45) using the order: printed washer 6mm wide, washer, wheel, washer, M5 nut with nylon lock.
  • Put the second wheel using similar order on the long (M5x65)

Assembly X Granty (Part 1) Main X-plate Mount

  • Unscrew bottom nut (3rd wheel) from original x carriage (keep it as is just remove the nut, or replace bolt by longer 5mm length, keep in mind bolt head must be the same style)
  • Put x-plate and secure it temporarily with two top M3 bolts
  • Push bottom bolt and put back bottom nut and secure it (do not put bottom block yet)
  • Put x-carriage on x extrusion rail and using open wench rotate the bottom eccentric nut to have good enough wheels contact with the rail

Assembly X Granty (Part 2) Connect 2020 X Rail With Z-carriages

  • unscrew a bit 2 locking bolts [6a] and [7a]) on both z -carriages
  • push gently 2020 x rail into place on both z -carriages
  • use top and bottom bolts ([8a]/[9a]) to secure 2020 x rail but leave them a bit lose (will tighten them later, x rail need to play a bit in place)

Assembly X Granty (Part 3) Put X Granty With Z-carriages Into Z Portal and Mount

  • unlock 3rd wheels on z carriages (unscrew [1a] and pre-open a bit in order to put rails inside more easily)
  • push gently x granty into z portal (the x rail must be a bit loose on z-carriages to play a bit and be aligned later)
  • move it all way up and secure it on top position temporary by any rope
  • put z portal into place in the bottom B1 block
  • secure z portal into the place by all bolts

Assembly X Granty (Part 4) Align and Secure X Granty

  • secure/tighten 3rd wheel brackets on both z carriages good enough (but do not over tighten it)
  • remove rope/zip tie from x granty
  • move whole x granty on z-axis down /up serval times to allow it to stay in place
  • move it up and align on top z-carriages - they must touch the top rail.
  • be sure that is x granty is parallel to top rail and secure it on z-carriages from both sides
  • double-check that x granty is moving down/up easily and check all
  • check wheels on z-carriages and tighten 3rd wheel brackets (but do not over tighten it) wheels should not rotate easily when one wheel is blocked, but x-granty should move easily on z-axis

Assembling Motors Mounts and Install Motors

Assembling Belt Constant Tensioner

Put constant tensioner on top 20x20 rail but leave it on topmost position (leave mounting bolts loose until belts be installed and tensioned)

Install Belts and Bottom Block for X Carriage

Perform Tentioning Belt Procedure
