Baked Crispy Sweet Potato Fries
French fries are everybody's favorite snack and sweet potato is an healthier option to normal potatoes. Hence, I prefer the Baked Sweet Potato Fries with homemade Garlic Yogurt Dip. Its so easy to make and is a guilt free snack that we can munch on. Hope you like it. Thank you.
Ingredients for Sweet Potato Fries
- Sweet Potatos - 4 small size
- Garlic Powder - 1 tsp
- Chilly Powder / Paprika - 1 tsp
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp
- Rice Powder - 1 tbsp (for crispiness)
- Salt - to taste
Bake the Sweet Potato Fries
- Wash the sweet potatoes, pat dry with a kitchen towel and cut it into thin wedges
- Add all the ingredients one by one - salt, chilly powder/paprika, rice flour for crispiness, garlic powder and olive oil.
- Massage all the ingredients well so it coats the sweet potato wedges well. Line up the coated wedges in an oven safe bowl.
- Ensure they don't overlap else the fries will become soggy.
- Bake it for 25-30mins (15mins on each side) in a preheated oven at 450 degree F. Keep checking in-between so it does not burn.
- Let is stand for atleast 5 mins before serving.
- You can serve it with tomato sauce / mint chutney / sour cream dip / garlic yogurt dip.
- I loved it with the homemade garlic yogurt dip.
Make the Garlic Yogurt Dip
Ingredients:
- Yogurt - 2 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- Dried Italian herbs - 1/2 tsp
- Garlic Powder / Fresh crushed garlic - 1/2 tsp
Preparation Steps
- Take about 2 tbsp thick yogurt.
- Add salt, garlic powder, pepper and dried Italian herbs.
- Mix well.
- Keep it chilled in refrigerator until you wish to serve.
