A fairly simple barstool made using 100×25 decking timber.

I cut four lengths of treated 100x25 decking timber to 740mm

Using the circular saw I notched out the top section to approximately 1/3 to 1/2 the thickness of the timber. I also notched in the lower section at 400mm from base.

I cut 8 lengths at 300mm and slipped them into the notches. I glued then screwed 4 into place. I then drilled and screwed the two sides together using the other four lengths.

I cut four lengths to 320mm and nailed them on top. A quick sand and a coat of polyurethane to finish it off.
