Basketball Hoop - Fusion 360
This is an easy 16-step basketball hoop. I believe this will take no more than 45 minutes. Have fun!
Step 1
First, go to create, new sketch. Then click rectangle. Draw a square. After that, press enter twice. Then, press D on the keyboard. Afterwards, dimension both sides to 1.5 inches.
Step 2: Extrude
When you finished making the 1.5 by 1.5 inch rectangle, go to Create, Extrude. Click on the rectangle. Raise the extrude 0.4 inches and click OK.
Step 3: New Sketch
After you extruded, go to sketch, create sketch. Make a 0.3 by 0.5 inch rectangle. Make sure the rectangle is 0.2 inches away from the line.
Step 4: Extrude
After you finished, go to create, extrude. Raise it bar up to 3.20 inches and click OK.
Step 5: New Sketch
Click on sketch, new sketch. Make a 2.20 by 1.40 inch rectangle on the bar.
Step 6: Extrude
Go to create, extrude. Extrude the piece to 0.4 inches. Then, click OK.
Step 7: New Sketch
After you finished the sixth step, then go to the sketch, create sketch. Draw a smaller rectangle with the dimensions of 0.6 by 0.5 inches. Make sure from the bottom of the backboard to the bottom of the square, it is 0.5 inches.
Step 8: Cut
Afterwards, select create, extrude. Select the option cut instead of join. Cut into the backboard 0.1 to 0.2 inches.
Step 9: New Sketch
After you did that, then select sketch, new sketch. Make a rectangle with the dimensions of 0.6 by 0.1 inches.
Step 10: Extrude
Click create, extrude. Extrude the 0.6 by 0.1 inch to 0.2 inches extruded.
Step 11: Draw Circle
Open up a new window. Draw a circle with the diameter of 1.10 inches.
Step 12: Extrude
Select create, extrude. Extrude the circle to 0.4 inches.
Step 13: New Sketch Circle
After that, select sketch, create sketch. Draw the circle with the diameter of 0.99 inches.
Step 14: Extrude Second Circle
After that, select create, extrude. Then, you select cut and cut the whole object through.
Step 15: Combine
Go back to the basketball hoop. Drag the circle from your library into the basketball hoop. Then drag it to the correct place, or the little rectangle. Then, in the offset plane, select combine.
Step 16: Finish
You got a basketball hoop. You can use all the dimensions you want. These are the dimensions I used for mine.
