Battry Carger
I have several old laptop batteries that are not used. I want to use the battery to make several projects. And first I need to make a charger module for the battery. Therefore, in this article I will show you how to make it
Watch the Video!!
the video above contains the process of making the module. But there is some information that I didn't show like what components were used to make it.
I purposely did not display this information because I wanted to display it in this article. Besides that, in this article I will also provide several files such as schematics, layout and PCB gerber files.
Components Required
below are the components needed to make the modules :
- 2* micro USB connector
- 1* 2P T-Block
- 2* Capacitor 100nF
- 2* Capacitor 10uF
- 4* Resistors 1K
- 2* Resistors 1k2
- 2* Resistors 0R
- 2* Red LED
- 2* Blue LED
- 2* IC TC4056A
- 2* 1x2 Male Header
- 2* Jumper
- 1* Battry Holder
PCB Schematic and Layout
Based on the information that I have mentioned in the video, there is a mistake in the PCB design that I made. These mistakes are:
- Pad at the bottom of the IC TC4056A is still wrapped with a Solder Mask
- There is one line that I have not connected I have resolved
I have fixed both problems. And for the files that I have provided below are the files that I have corrected. So you don't need to worry if you want to use them.

Inserting Components
Tthis stage I really like it. because this step is quite difficult and long, that's why I like it.
Results
For the results you can see in the image above. The figure shows that the module is charging the battery. This is indicated by a red LED indicator.
To see more detailed results, I recommend watching the video.
