Black Pearl From Pirates of the Caribbean

Jack Sparrow film is not out yet. But I decided it would yet involve a special ship - Black Pearl. Well, how would Jack get around on the seas without his precious ship? Therefore, I decided to give him a gift this time. What can I say, I am a fan of the Jack character, even more so of his ship. Since I don't want to roam the world running away from Davy Jones. I decided to create a ship of my own.

1. Newspaper, I used approximately, 10 items of complete newspaper.
2. Glue.
3. Bottle Caps
4. Thin Black Rope
5. Black Acrylic Paint.
6. Mod Podge Matte Black

1. I used Google to gather some references for creating the final ship.

1. I have created the hull using a basic structure of sticks stuck together using Glue.
2. The sticks are made of newspaper and stuck together using glue.
3. I stuck them side-by side to create the deck-texture.
4. I bent the sticks at different places to fold it into a ship's hull structure.

1. Add small details referring the original image.
2. Cut up small pieces and attach them to create the wheel, sails, ladder, canons, etc.
3. I have used Mod Podge Matte with Black Acrylic Paint to give it a Matte look.

I created a Papier-Mache Moon with a flashlight and placed it in darkness to create this epic scene from the film.[Refer References]
