Blanket for a Bedsheet

Ever have an extremely soft, good looking or special blanket that is too heavy to use in the winter? Use it as a sheet instead of a blanket and be able to see it all year around.

For this project the only things you need are a blanket and some string/rope.

Pull Off the Old Sheet.

First thing you need to do is pull off the old sheet and throw it in the dirty laundry.

Lay out your blanket in the floor, make sure there is enough room to spread it out completely.

Knot the Corners

Set your mattress down (upside down) on top of the blanket and knot each corner of the blanket. This will give ample support for your rope/string.

Tie the Corners Together.

Take your rope and tie a simple double-overhand knot around the first blanket corner.

Pull this taut and tie it to the next corner.

Continue on all four corners of the blanket making sure they are as tight as they can be.

Put It Back on Your Bed

Set the mattress back on your bed and enjoy your new comfy blanket sheet.

This is the easiest way to do this that I have come up with so far... Of course you could take more precautions with your blanket and add some plastic rings to separate the blanket and the rope so you don't run the risk of tearing it. It's all up to you.
