Boil Eggs in Microwave
How to boil eggs in the microwave
You need: a microwave, a microwavable bowl that is at least twice as big than it needs to be to hold just the eggs, vinegar, a slotted spoon, water
Prep the Water & Initial Heat
Take the eggs out of the refrigerator.
Almost fill the bowl with water - leave room for the eggs.
Add about a tablespoon of vinegar - I don't actually measure. This makes the eggs much easier to peel when you are done.
Microwave on high for 3.5 minutes - note that this does not bring the water to boil. Your microwave will be slightly different, adjust accordingly.
Add Eggs
Use a slotted spoon to add the eggs to the bowl of very warm water.
Close the microwave door to retain heat.
Wait 4 minutes.
Remove the eggs with the slotted spoon - I put them on a dish towel next to the microwave.
For Hard 'boiled'
Microwave on high until the water in the bowl boils - I use a glass bowl so it's easy to see when this happens.
Put the eggs back in the water, close the door and wait 5 minutes.
Remove the eggs and re-microwave the water to boil.
Put the eggs back in the water, close the door and wait 6 minutes.
Remove the eggs. I put them in cold water for a few minutes to also help them peel easier.
Peel and enjoy!
