I have been gathering bottle caps for awhile now, and I wanted to try some new crafts with them. I had recently gotten some resin from the home improvement store so I decided to try out a making a garden stepping stone out of these bottle caps.

Here is what I used to make my bottle cap stepping stone.

Bottle Caps

Resin

A disposable mold

I started arranging bottle caps on my disposable plate that I used as my mold.

I made sure that all the bottle caps were evenly spaced and faced down so that in the final product they would face up.

Mix and Pour Resin

Then I mixed the resin with the hardener and poured the mixture into my bowl over the bottle caps.

The goal is to make sure the resin completely covers the bottle caps so that they will be completely encased once hardened.

Let Dry

All I had left to do was wait and let the resin dry.

Then I pulled the piece out of the paper plate mold and let it finish drying all of the way.

With the resin hardened I placed it in my garden to create a cute little stepping stone.

Enjoy!
