Bottle of Feelings

Face image.jpg

It is the first time I am writing an Instructable. When I saw this website I was very amazed to see such a beautiful place full of Ideas and Creations. I eagerly wanted to be a part of this. So here it is.

I have made a Bottle Of Feelings. My idea behind it was to transmit my feelings by writing them down and present them in a Beautiful Way. Normally, When we think of writing down the feelings , the first thing that comes to our mind is in a form of letter or message. But these are very boring way of telling our feelings. So, to reduce the dullness of a letter, I made this.

Personally Speaking , I made this for my Father to gift him on Fathers Day.

Fathers are our Hero. Every day I get up in the morning I look at my dad and think of being a man like him. Every little thing he does makes him great. He is the most important member of the family whose love for us is enormously large.

He teaches me the lessons of life and encourages me to fight each difficulty with courage. There’s no such sacrifice that he will not do for us. The kind of bond that I share with my father is very affectionate. I don’t know but there is something special between us that makes me fall in love with his way of life.

To get my feelings to him I made this bottle so that I could write them down and give it to him. This is the best gift for a father to let him know how his daughter/son loves him.

Saying about the bottle , It has rolled paper strips that have messages written over it.

You can also gift it on Mothers Day, Valentines Day etc.

I used a medicine bottle. So first of all I washed it thoroughly to get rid of the Lable and the medicinal sediments.

You can use any soap to wash it.

Cutting and Rolling

Cut down strips of paper of approx 1 cm breadth. The length of the strip is decided according to the length of the message. Although I kept the length of all the strips same. So that the size of the rings that are to be made for them remains the same.

Making the Rings

To make the rings I used a wire and pen to bend it in the form of a ring. After forming the ring cut down the extra wire and hammered the two ends together. You can even solder the two ends to give it a better look.

Messages

Write down messages on the paper strips and roll them down. Don't forget to put the metal rings on them.

Making the Cap

To make the cap I used a piece of wood. I sawed it according the required size. Then chiseled it to get it into the shape of a cork. To give it a smooth look I used a File.

If you have a cork then use it to make a cap of required size.
