Today while arranging my socks drawer I took three pairs of old wool socks to discard.I can't wear them any more as they are worn out.. But my heart didn't let me throw them away..I remembered the  reuse project and my mind was driving me crazy to do some thing rather than throwing it away.
Then I remembered  seeing  my neighbour's little kid carrying her water bottle in her backpack. The bottle  was  in  the outer pocket of the backpack and is out of aluminium. Imagine how cold it would be?

Oh! Why not make a little child happy in this cold winter?Any my idea worked out fine as a protector wrap.
Ha! my socks are not stinking. They are washed and cleaned ,the only mess is that the wool garments have tiny wool yarns poping up.It took me around an hour to cut ,sew and complete it.Look how beautiful it has turned out ..

The measurmenst are of your choice. according to the bottles.

With the wool shears remove all the tiny yarn pieces popping out.It is difficult to remove with the hand.
Cut along marked A B C and D.Use the pieces marked 1, 2 and 3.Discard the rest of the pieces.I cut three colored socks to make two covers but used only two colors for one warmer..Join the pieces to gether where marked xxxx as shown in picture 3. The top part of the socks where the elastic is, should be on top.Cut a round piece  for the bottom.

Join

You can do hand sewing or use the machine.I joined them with the machine as it is quicker.Join the bottom round piece last.Sew neatning stitch all around. You could do the basic zigzag stitches.

Add Colors

Give some colors to the protector by sewing an easy hand embroidery stitch.I did the blanket stitch in different colours on the joins.

Socks Can Do Wonders!!

My neighbour's 8 year old kid was surprised and full of smile when I returned her bottle with a warm cover.

This is some thing very useful in winter so mama's pull out your old socks and sew  a unique cover for your kids bottle and make them happy  :) You could do this for your baby's milk bottle too, with kids multi colores socks. It will look amazing and colorfull.
