Box Made From Single 8 Foot 1x2 Piece of Lumber

Small box made from a single 8 foot 1x2 piece of lumber.
Supplies
- 1 piece of eight foot 1x2 lumber
- Wood glue
- Pencil
- Carpenter's square
- Wood saw (I like pull saws)
- Screwdriver
- 1.25 inch wood screws
Measure and Cut Wood

- Using the Carpenter's Square and pencil, measure out 4.5 inch pieces of wood.
- Using the saw, cut out the pieces of wood until there is no more wood.
Glue Base and Start Walls

- If you would like, feel free to use the double glue joint to strengthen the joints, but it is not necessary:
- Glue 5 pieces of wood together along their long edges to create the base.
- After they are dry, take another piece of wood and screw it to the side of the base with the short ends.
- Be sure to position it along the center 3 pieces.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Glue two additional pieces on the top of the base along the long sides.
Continue to Build Box Walls

- Build the walls of the box up by gluing additional pieces on the first 4 base pieces.
- There was a small piece of wood left, so I just glued it to the top as a place to hang something.
