Have you ever tried making cupcakes out of scratch and it doesn't end up going as planned? Then you should totally try boxed cupcake mix. It can often be more difficult to start from scratch, but the boxed cupcake mix lets you know what to do with just a few main ingredients. :)

With only 7 simple steps get tasty fresh-baked cupcakes!

In this instructable, I'm going to share one of the easiest ways to make cupcakes at home.

Supplies

You will need

Tools:

  • Non-stick cupcake tray
  • measuring spoons/ cup
  • mixing bowl
  • A hand or electric mixer
  • Cooling rack or large plate
  • flat plastic spoon
  • Silicone/ paper baking cups
  • kitchen brush

Ingredients:

  • Any boxed cupcake mix ( I will be using Pillsbury Funfetti )
  • 1 1/3 cups of water
  • 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • icing or frosting
  • *optional* sprinkles

Pre-heat Oven

Now that you have all your clean tools and all your ingredients gathered preheat your oven to 350°F. Since we're using a nonstick baking pan, lower the temperature to 325°F.

Mix Ingredients

Grab your bowl and place dry mix first then add your other ingredients,

add your 1 1/3 cups of water then 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and lastly 3 large eggs. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes and keep mixing the batter until it has a rice moist texture.

Get Pan Ready

Place silicon/paper baking cups on the pan spray some cooking spray or use a small amount of oil with a brush so the batter won't stick.

Batter

Time to pour the batter into the pan, tap lightly on the counter to evenly spread the batter on each cup to see the amount poured. DON'T pour too much batter or it will overflow when in the oven.

Time to Bake

Bake cupcakes for 32-35 minutes at 350*F to know when cupcakes are done baking insert a toothpick in the center of one of the cupcakes if it comes out clean then you will know they're ready to get out of the oven.

Set Aside

Once cupcakes are out of the oven let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 15 minutes. After those 15 minutes have passed by. Remove the cupcakes from the pan onto a plate that fits all 12 cupcakes.

Decorating!

Once cupcakes are cool it's time to finally decorate them. You can use any sort of icing or frosting even sprinkles. You can find some ideas online as well. Do as your heart desires and you're good to go!
