Braided Apple Strudel
A Flaky delicate pastry, easy and fast. This is a show stopper dessert that anyone can make. Festive and elegant for any occasion.
Roll Puff Pastry Between 2 Sheets of Lightly Floured Wax Paper.
Ingredients:
1 square defrosted puff pastry
2 cups cooked apple
3 tbsp. bread crumbs
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon dash of cloves and nutmeg
1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp water
1 tbsp. chia seeds
1 tbsp. vanilla sugar or coarse sugar

Sprinkle Breadcrumbs Down the Center of the Dough
This will catch any excess liquid.
Cut slats on either side of dough approx. 2" wide x 3 1/2" long.
Stir the brown sugar into the cooked apples.
Place the cooked apples over the crumbs to 1"-2" from edges.

Sprinkle on the spices.
Fold the ends over the filling.

Brush the inside of the slats with some egg wash.

Bake in a parchment lined baking sheet in a preheated 375F oven until golden brown. Approx. 45-55 min.
