Bride of Frankenstein Wig
It’s electrifying! This easy and fun activity will elevate your Bride of Frankenstein costume and you only need 4 materials and 10 minutes!
Supplies
- Hot Glue Gun
- A large piece of cardboard
- Black fabric: enough to cover the frame
- White fabric: Scraps for the highlight detail
Cutting
Cut your cardboard into three 2" strips. One of the strips will go around your head, so measure the circumference of your head and cut the length out on the cardboard.
The other two pieces will make the frame of the wig so those should be around 20" long. They will be wrapped around, creating a 10" height to the wig, so feel free to adjust if you want a longer or shorter wig.
Rolling
This is the most complicated step, but is essential to creating the frame of the wig! You need to roll the cardboard up, effectively breaking the structure of the cardboard. It should now be bendy and ready to glue!
Glueing
Hot glue the first strip together so it sits like a crown on your head. From there glue on a strip of cardboard across the crown portion so it fits like an upside-down "u" shape. Glue the second one in the opposite direction. Now your base is complete!
The Fabric
Cut your black fabric into four equal strips and hot glue them around the crown. They can overlap with each other. If any excess is on the bottom, tuck it into the cardboard and glue. Secure the fabric to the top of the frame but glue where the two cardboard pieces meet.
Now, cut the white fabric into four wavy strips and glue two on each side of the wig, but keep about an inch difference between the strips.
