Budget Star Wars USB powered Infinity Mirror

We were fascinated by all the projects of infinity mirrors on this website and wanted to do our own. So we made this as a family project. My wife and son went creative :-) On a budget of course.

  • If you want to power the mirror by USB then cut the end connector
  • Connect the red (+) and black (-) cables of the USB cord to the corresponding wires of the battery pack
  • Don't forget the input resistor which is attached to the positive cable of the battery pack
  • Insulate the connection by shrink tubes or insulating tape
  • Print the desired picture and glue it to the foam rubber
  • Let it dry and cut out the picture
  • Use back of the frame as measure and cut the reflective foil to size
  • Remove the protective foil from the reflective foil and apply it on the glass of the picture frame
  • Place another piece of reflective foil to the back of the frame.A white piece of paper behind it is better reflecting
  • Mind the right direction of the foils, the reflective parts have to be facing each other inside the frame
  • Glue the LED strip inside the picture frame
  • Glue the picture to the back reflective foil
  • Assemble all parts
