Building Papercraft Koenigsegg One:1 ( Using Origami Tools )

20220306_123002_2-02-01.jpg

Did you know that Koenigsegg one:1 was the World's first Mega car ! the name one:1 comes from the power to weight ratio also many of you must be familiar with NFS ( Need For Speed ) the ones who don't know about this its a game and it has a movie based on the game.

So I decided to make one and a big thanks to Visual Spicer for providing the free templates of the car.

Supplies

  • Cardstock paper
  • White glue or tacky glue
  • Cutter & scissors
  • Pencil & rulers
  • Some sharp object for giving creases
  • Printer

Printing the Templates

  • Before starting of you must make sure the size of the cardstock paper which you will be using and I have shared all the sizes of paper so you can just look at them, I have used Legal size for printing.
  • Once you have all the parts cut them down with the cutter or scissors, now this is the most difficult part I can say because it requires a lot of patience and time so make sure you take your time.
  • This part took me 3 days for completion but if you do fast enough probably it will take one day.
  • Remember to write the page number on the back side of the parts so that you can easily join them.

The Front of the Car

  • Take a needle and make cresses on the front cover of the car similarly do for the rest.
  • Once done join the parts by using white glue.
  • Tip- use a toothpick for clearness so that the glue doesn't make mess.
  • Join the parts carefully by using the instruction file which I have shared.
  • Make sure the cresses are coming on doted lines only.

Making Up the Front Windshield & Windows

  • For the windshield take the parts as suggested and make join them with the glue.
  • Make creases on the windshield so that it can fold on both sides.
  • Now below the windshield add the joining part as shown above.
  • Now join the side parts of the car such as the windows and the doors as given in the instruction file.

The Upper Section of the Car

  • For this section of the car make the desired part give the creases and join them with the white glue.
  • For this part which is shown above make sure that the cresses are aligned properly.
  • Do the same with the rest of the upper section of the car as per the instruction given in the file.

The Back Section of the Car

  • Align the back parts of the car as per instruction given I the file.
  • Make the creases a little sharp for the back portion because as you will progress you will see their are certain parts which require more creasing for their look.

Making Up the Wheels

  • This part is easy as you have to repeat the same procedure again and again but also this part takes more time and patience for making up the perfect tires.
  • Also this step requires more creases for perfection.

Completed !!
