CLAY MASK

Making a mask using paper or fiber clay .

1. paper clay
2. newspaper
3. paper tape
4. paint and paint brushes
5. varnish
6. clay modelling tools

crumble your newspaper into ball on which you can mount your clay to work with it. use paper tape to hold the newspaper together then flatten your clay into your desired shape .

Now gently place your clay on the newspaper mount .

1. make eyes by scooping out the clay
2. use additional clay to make nose and mustache
3. attach the nose and mustache by making a quick glue out i.e mix a bit of clay with water till you a paste like consistency . using this glue attach the nose and mustache
4. now using your clay modelling tools add details and textures

1. Apply the varnish on the mask after it dries completely using a paintbrush .
2. The varnish helps the paint to set on the mask

paint it using water colors or acrylic paints after the varnish has dried .

mount the mask on a support made using foam / cardboard
