Cabinet

All purpose cabinet...I'm making a paint cabinet.

Get all the tools needed for the job....
Kreg Jig
Drill
Measuring tape
Clamps
Work surface (I used plywood & sawhorses)
Screws
Saws used --(mitre, skill, and table saw) use what you have at your disposal.
Router
Chisel
Hammer
Square
Clamps


Finishing....
Paintbrush
Stain rag
Sandpaper
Wood stain
Polyurethane

Construct sides. I'm not providing specific measurements because I made mine to fit a specific area. Build yours for your area.

Construct Cabinet Body

I added plywood into the pine frames. This is a garage paint cabinet, so I didn't use expenses wood, but I still wanted it to look nice.

Top

I used 3/4 inch plywood for the top. I screwed the top. From inside the cabinet. I also sanded down the edges to give the cabinet softer edges.

Butt Hinges

Measure desired area for butt hinge. I cut a scrap piece of wood about 3-5 inches long and used it to measure the hinge placement from the top and bottom and each side.

Mark areas and route out the area. Used a chisel for the corners.

Stain

I added 2 coats of stain. Let it dry for 24 hours.

Polyurethane

I brushed on 2 coats of polyurethane. I sanded lightly between coats.

Filled and Done!!!

I added my paint supplies place cabinet in it final resting area. Works perfect!
