Candle Holder

Create this unique and fun upcycled candle holder in a few simple steps! It took about 10 minutes to make one candle holder.

Materials

You will need a CD (one that you don't listen to or is too scratched up to use anymore will work. A DVD could also be used), a hot glue gun and hot glue sticks (we used about 2 small ones for one candle holder), and marbles (any assortment will do)

How to Start

image.jpeg
Begin by gluing your first marble to the edge of the cd. Be aware of how close it is to the edge. The further out you place it, the more you'll fit in a row.

Continuing

image.jpeg
Glue down more marbles directly next to the previous. Have them touch.
Be aware of colors. You can do all one color, make a pattern, or have it random like we did.

Adding Rows

image.jpeg
To start another row, glue a marble on top of another. It works best if it is slightly off center and toward the space between the two marbles underneath it.

Rows Continued

Continue to glue marbles in rows until you are satisfied. We chose to do 4 rows for ours.

Cleaning

Clean up hot glue strings from the finial product to give it a polished look. Gently peel up the strings to remove them.
