Candy Pillow Tutorial

image.jpg

Hi guys! This is Smile4eva and welcome to my first ever tutorial. I decided to do it on these gorgeous candy pillows, inspired by one of my friends. You could use this to sleep with, have pillow fights and it makes a cute gift as well. Enjoy this sweet treat. Remember, don't eat it all at once!

For this project you will need:

  • Needle and thread
  • Fabric of your choice
  • Pretty ribbon
  • A whole lot of stuffing

Draw Out Your Shapes

First of all, choose the fabric you wish to use. Then cut two rectangles with the dimensions of 64.1cm by 26.8, or you could just trace out your own pillowcase.

Time to Start Sewing!

Place your two rectangles together, good sides facing each other. Sew using a back stitch with suitable thread along the two long sides. Once both sides are sewn, flip it inside out. You should have a cylindrical shape thing with an open top and bottom.

Fill It Up

Grab your whole lot of stuffing and fill your weird cylindrical shape. Push it around so that all your stuffing has formed a lump in the middle.

Tie It Up

Cut your pretty ribbon into two lengths of 17cm. Tie them into a bow around each end closest to the stuffing. Make sure it is tight otherwise all the stuffing will fall out.

All Done!

Yay! You have finished. Now you can find a nice place to put it or make more of them. Thanks for using my tutorial!!! :)
